Off The Track: A Photo Story
Who are we when the spikes come off?
What is Off The Track?
Off The Track is a photo project that took place during the 2016 Olympic Trials in Eugene, OR.
The goal was to create a visual diary of what life is like ‘off the track’ during the trials for an athlete.
You can see all images of the athletes below separated into galleries. Scroll through the images by click the little arrow below the image.

Why did I do this project?
Ok, so athletes pretty much dedicate a lot of time (spelled Y-E-A-R-S) making this happen. They sweat through a bunch of shirts, miss a bunch of cool nights out, not to mention Ben and Jerry’s (etc) just to make to this meet and hopefully crush their goals. As a professional photographer who’s been shooting track and field for a decade, I felt the athletes deserved these Instagram-worthy memories captured. There were 20 other photographers who had the track races covered (as did I) but I felt it was huge to do something different for the athletes by someone who understood what that week meant to them.
How can I reach you?
